Pre-Decimal Silver Coins of Edward VII (1910)
Sixpence
The sixpence was the second lowest denomination produced in 1910 and started the same Coat of Arms design that would be used until the end of its production in 1963.
Being a one-year type, the only to bear the portrait of King Edward VII, the coin was often hoarded resulting in a greater availability of better grade pieces with the date being readily available in the lower mint state grades. In MS64 or higher the date becomes quite difficult though is still obtainable with some effort though collectors may need to consider the specimen strikes if they desire a coin at or beyond MS66.
