The 1924 Threepence was struck at both the Melbourne and Sydney Mint
with a total
mintage
of 2,014,044. No mint-marks were placed on the design making it very difficult to identify the difference between coins
of this year struck in Sydney or Melbourne. The reverse features the
W.H.J. Blakemore Coat of Arms and the obverse houses Sir. E. B. KacKennel's
effigy of King George V. The type is relatively common for the series and can be affordable until mint-state where it becomes
quite scarce.
