The 1961 Perth mint half penny, like other Perth mint issues in the series comes in a salmon pink colour or a chocolate
brown colour and is typically plagued by impaired dies and as such is difficult to source in
the upper mint state grades. The coin typically tones olive or a red brick colour, which should
not be confused with original mint brilliance.
