The 2005 'mob of roos' proof one dollar is an example of a coin that should never have been. The 2005 proof set contained the Peace dollar but some 2006 proof sets inadvertently contained 2005 dated proof dollars giving rise to this scarce issue. It is estimated that about 40 examples were produced and while technically an error, it is collected as part of the dollar series and is one of the hardest challenges the proof dollar collector will face.
