The 1998 Royal Visit piece was issued as part of the 'Milestones' set in the Royal Australian Mint's Master Pieces in Silver collection. The reverse features the William Leslie Bowles reverse design used on the 1954 Florin. Leslie Bowles' initials can be found immediate above the date (see image below). The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of HM Queen Elizabeth II with the legend "ELIZABETH II - AUSTRALIA 1998 - TWENTY CENTS".

The Royal Visit florin was struck in 1954 to commemorate the visit of Queen Elizabeth II to Australia on 3rd February 1954, the first time a British monarch visited the country. The reverse features a lion, representing the Great Britain, and a kangaroo representing Australia with the legends. There was much discussion over the simple design which could have been mistaken as a zoo token.
