The 1919
specimen
sixpence is a proof of record strike produced by the Melbourne
mint, alongside the 1919 Dot Below penny, the 1919 threepence, the 1919 pattern shilling and the 1919 florin. There
have been no recent sales in private hands leaving little to work on in regards to value, but it is unlikely that any more
than 1 or 2 examples are in private hands. The specimen can be identified by a very sharp reeded edge
with even
rims
and semi-mirror fields. No weakness in strike has
been identified on any of the known
specimens.
