This Pequod piece was released by the Perth Mint in 2013 as part of the Famous Ships that Never Sailed series. The series was issued to celebrate a number of famous fictional ships featured in literary and musical history. The reverse of this particular coin features a representation of the Pequod with the white whale in the foreground and the inscription 'Moby Dick - The Pequod.' The obverse features an Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of HM Queen Elizabeth II with the legend 'QUEEN ELIZABETH II - 1OZ 999 SILVER - 2013 TUVALU.'
