This Gallipoli piece was released by the Perth Mint in 2011 as part of the 'Famous Battles in Australian History' series. The series was issued to commemorate the involvement and sacrifices made by Australian soldiers in a number of significant international conflicts. The reverse features a depiction of an Australian soldier in First World War military issue with a printed image of ANZAC cover in the background and the legend 'GALLIPOLI 1915 - 1OZ 999 SILVER.'. The obverse features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of HM Queen Elizabeth II with the legend 'ELIZABETH II - AUSTRALIA 2011 - 1 DOLLAR.'
