It was on the 16th November 2010 that the announcement by Prince Charles was made that his eldest son Prince William and Miss Catherine Middleton became engaged to be married. This news had been eagerly awaited by an adoring public that were increasingly focusing on them over the eight years of dating. She had waited so patiently during that time that the media had nicknamed her Waity Katy. Their photos were hot property though and she had become the darling of the press. It was during their trip to Kenya that the Prince had carried his mother's, Princess Diana, diamond engagement ring in his pocket just waiting for the right moment to pop the question. The wedding was due to take place on the 29th April 2011 at Westminster Abbey, London (The British Monarchy, 2013). The couple did decide to give a detailed account with BBC after the announcement of their engagement had become official. They both spoke without restriction with regards to their affectionate and loving sensuality for each other. Will openly admitted that he was drawn to Kate's mischievous gaity. Kate's shyness prevailed throughout the interview making the character Will was describing very much so not the obvious. Often she was hesitant in finishing her statements and Will came forth to aide her during the interview. However, she has changed remarkably and has become increasingly social with regards to speaking to an audience in front of a camera. Will had great concern for Kate being able to live under the scrutiny, inquiry and close examination that entails being the wife of a prince. He wanted her to have time to digest the lifestyle she would be embarking on. His concern was beyond genuine because after seven years he asked for Kate's hand in marriage with hesitancy still. He was unsure that the lifestyle would be one that would enhance her life and be beneficial for all concerned. Truly a gentleman of honour was Will with regards to his potential bride Ms. Kate Middleton. So finally, while on holiday in Kenya, Prince William decided to propose to Ms. Kate. It was a momentous occasion and one that was welcomed by all.Ms. Kate was overwhelmed with love and adoration and accepted his proposal gracefully (ABC News, 2010). So the long awaited moment that they had discussed numerous times had embellished them both and initiated their official journey of lifelong commitment.
