This Diamonds piece was released by the Perth Mint in 2009 as part of the Treasures of Australia series. The series was issued to celebrate some of Australia's natural resources. This particular coin features a half circle locket containing 1-carat of Australian natural rough diamonds. The reverse houses the inscription 'TREASURES OF AUSTRALIA.' The obverse houses a small Ian Rank-Broadley portrait of HM Queen Elizabeth II with the legend 'ELIZABETH II - AUSTRALIA 2009 - 1 DOLLAR.'
