This Golden Pipeline piece was released by the Perth Mint in 2003.
The one dollar silver coin was issued to commemorate one hundred years since the Goldfields Water Supply Scheme was opened
in Western Australia. The reverse features a depiction of the project's
designer and overseer C. Y. O'Connor along with the signatures of some of those who attended the opening ceremony and the
legend
'GOLDEN PIPELINE - 100TH ANNIVERSARY - 1903 - 2003.' The obverse
features the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of HM Queen Elizabeth II with the
legend
'ELIZABETH II - AUSTRALIA - 1 DOLLAR.'
