The final British North Borneo five cent was struck in 1941 at the Heaton mint as denoted by the H
mintmark below the arms. This piece, along the 1903-H five cent are the only two years in the series to have a
mintage of one million coins, the others all being lower and consequently is one of the easier
years to find. It is nonetheless a scarce issue in top grades like most pieces from the colony but date set
collectors should have no problems obtaining this date if not sought in high grades.
