The Straits Settlements five cent coin returned to the smaller silver type in 1926 with 10 million pieces struck that
year, the design changed slightly though the overall content remained the same with the reverse
design featuring a partitioned ring design with 5 in the inner circle with the legend, STRAITS
SETTLEMENTS. FIVE CENTS followed by the date while the obverse features the Mackennal effigy
of King George V and the legend, GEORGE V KING AND EMPEROR OF INDIA.Both years are readily
available in most grades with the 1935 available in supreme grades making it an excellent choice for a type coin.
