In January 1901 King Edward VII acceded to the British throne with the first business strike twenty cent pieces struck in 1902. The reverse design features a partitioned ring design with 20 in the inner circle with the legend, STRAITS SETTLEMENTS. TWENTY CENTS with the date following. The obverse features a crowned bust of King Edward VII with the legend, EDWARD VII KING & EMPEROR by Royal Mint engraver, George W. De Saules.All three dates are available in mint state although some effort may be required to source the 1902 or the 1903, type set collectors will be delighted to know that the 1910-B provides an affordable alternative to the earlier years if the type is sought in mint state.
