The obverse is type C with the legend VICTORIA QUEEN. The
reverse contains four Chinese symbols depicting date, country and
denomination in the centre surrounded by a decorative circle and a wreath. There is a second circle outside this
and the legend reads HONG KONG ONE DOLLAR 1863.
